What Guests Are Saying?
Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Guests appreciate the king rooms, finding them a good size and often noting comfortable pillows. The hotel's location makes it easy to walk around downtown Halifax, and some rooms even offer harbour views. Breakfast receives positive mentions for its tasty and plentiful variety; though disposable dishes are used, which some guests find disappointing. The proximity to the Scotia shopping center is also a plus, especially since the indoors are flat, which is convenient.

the hotel is walkable to the harbour. note that the return walk is uphill, so it might be difficult for people with mobility issues. the view from the window was pretty though the windows need cleaning.

the check-in staff included two people when i arrived. when a number of people were present to check in, one staff member helped at the coffee station! i found this strange, though the staff members were all very nice.

Really good Downtown Stay

clean breakfast roompleasant stayample parking247 coffee
The breakfast room was consistently clean and always fully staffed. The food was prepared well and abundant. The general manager, Scott, greeted us each morning. He ensured our stay remained pleasant. Ample free parking was available, a significant advantage. I also appreciated coffee availability at all times.
I observed that the gym only had limited fruit and water, difficult for a healthy diet.
Rooms
9/10
The room had a large television, offering various entertainment options. The bed provided excellent comfort. A wall of windows provided a tremendous view of the surroundings.
Service
10/10
The staff exhibited both courteous and cute behavior. They addressed all concerns promptly. A manager addressed a miscommunication issue quickly. The manager offered complimentary ice cream for my husband's birthday, a kind gesture.
Facilities
8/10
The hotel offers a good location. Everything is within walking distance. The free parking adds considerable value, removing parking worries. The breakfast provided a good start to each day. It was well-prepared and plentiful.
